Some may ask how is it possible to capture the Spirit of Golf and the Olympics in Honduras?

Honduras has only a couple of golf courses and has never hosted the Olympics like Atlanta, St. Louis or Mexico City. In fact, Honduras has never won an Olympic medal of any kind in ten appearance in the Olympic Games.

But their newest golf course, the Black Pearl in Pristine Bay in the Caribbean Sea is a world class Dye design. But in their last Olympic appearance in London in 2012 they sent 27 athletes, nearly three times more than ever before.

After visiting the Olympic Village in the Honduras capital of Tegucigalpa, playing the Tegucigalpa Country Club and flying out to Pristine Bay to play the Black Pearl, I can tell you without question that the Spirit of Golf and the Olympics is alive, healthy and posed for a medal in 2016 at Rio De Janeiro.
