Celebrated the Opening Ceremonies at Olympic Boulevard in downtown Rio with my Brazilian friends Fatima, Branca, & Paul & tens of thousands other Cariocas… beautiful waterfront, massive, world-class tourist destination… you will see and hear about the just completed Museum of Tomorrow! After watching on large video screens, we were there to witness the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron in front of Candelaria Church by 14-year old Brazilian Olympic sensation Jorge Alberto Gomes. Hopefully this will put to rest any concerns over Rio hosting what are sure to be the best ever Summer Olympic Games! Has to be with golf included! I surely felt the love of the world and billions of my fellow human beings tonight! Truly the Olympic Spirit was present! Let there be peace throughout the world!

Still hoping for a ticket to the Olympic Opening Ceremony tomorrow Friday night… if you know of an extra ticket I am willing to pay a reasonable price… off to check out Maracana Stadium, the Olympic Village, and other Olympic sites in Rio..
