Awesome 3 nights at the Protea Hotel Wanderers in Joburg! Enjoyed my time just wandering about here & there… Completely revived and heading to the coast today… Durban, George, the Garden Route and then Cape Town for New Year’s Eve! Great people here at Protea Hotels… invited me back for my first 3 nights when I return to Joburg for the South African & Joburg Opens in January. Reliving my week in Cape Town… definite groupie of the The Parlotones… saw them first at The Wild Coast Sun and then again at the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts in Cape Town… a great outdoor venue… love their song “We were Just Having Fun”… Ellen Jackson thinking would be a good theme for our 40th high school reunion… “We were Just Having Fun & Still are”… this studio version does not do justice to being there performing to a live audience… can’t wait until they start touring again in the USA! Stopped by Fancourt – South Africa, a golf resort with the Montagu and Outeniqua golf courses… and then not far away the Fancourt The Links, the ultra private club that hosted the 2003 President’s Cup that finished in a tie after Ernie Els and Tiger Woods tied 3 playoff holes.
